糖心传媒’s National Country Department has reported a strong start to the year, completing on £173 million worth in prime country house sales in Q1 2026. Despite a challenging political and global climate, these deals underline a returning buyer appetite for best-in-class country houses and estates across the UK.

The department completed 36 transactions during the quarter, with an average guide price of £4.8 million.
Notably, eight sales exceeded £5 million, while three transactions were priced above £10 million. The quarter鈥檚 largest sale was for a property with a guide price of £23.5 million, one of the highest鈥憊alue country house transactions to complete nationwide so far this year. Other notable deals include Edgeworth Manor, in Gloucestershire with a guide of £11 million.

The results build on momentum seen at the end of 2025 and reflect a market increasingly driven by lifestyle鈥憀ed buyers, including families relocating from London and international purchasers seeking a long鈥憈erm UK base.鈥�
